Accountant - Tamheer

KPMG is currently seeking to hire a fresh graduate Analyst for a short term opportunity for a duration of 6 months to work with our Accounting & Finance function.
 

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Providing robust accounting advice and financial analysis to support the client’s accounting and financial functions and responsibilities.
• Providing accounting support to transaction and tax teams answering questions on technical issues and providing input for reports.
• Harnessing and analyzing large amounts of data – some of which may be non-financial - in order to inform client decisions.
• Providing high quality input and supporting evidence of deliverables to demanding timescales.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and KPMG individuals.
• Development and delivery of accounting training to clients and internal KPMG teams.

Skills & Experience:

• Successfully completed studies in accounting, particularly with a focus on international accounting, auditing or business informatics.
• An interest and intellectual curiosity in accounting policies and standards and applying these principles to complex transactions in the public sector or enterprise market. 
• Good knowledge of national and international accounting principles and processes as well as familiarity with commentary literature
• Ability to take initiative and work independently, but also work effectively as a member of a team.
• Safe handling of common MS Office applications.
• Willingness to learn, high analytical skills, creativity, strong communication skills as well as team and client orientation.
• Ability to build strong client and colleague relationships.
• Enquiring mind, willingness to learn and try new things.
• Demonstrated analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Problem solving attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

• Bachelor/Master's degree from a reputable university with excellent graduation GPA.
• Accounting Major only.
