Manager - Corporate Finance
Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Managing projects from beginning to end, support partners and directors in proposal writing, business development, and project pricing, and will be responsible for day-to-day project management with a team of consultants.
- Building a rapport with clients, understanding their business and expectations for longer term future opportunities.
- Dealing with all client queries on ongoing engagements
- Supporting junior team members with their skill and career development. Providing coaching to others, share your technical and other knowledge with your team and the department, and draw upon previous experience.
- Preparing client reports and other written documents with minimal review points, capturing all key issues for any higher-level review
- Monitoring progress against established and budget timeframes.
- Knowledge of investment and growth strategies, portfolio management, risk assessment, and performance optimization techniques
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of investment opportunities, market trends, and economic indicators.
- Provide recommendations on investment opportunities, risk management, and portfolio diversification.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events that could impact clients' investments.
- Managing one or more client engagements of moderate complexity independently – consulting with Partners/Directors as appropriate, including the commercial aspects of an engagement.
- Planning and seeking opportunities to allocate team members’ responsibilities that will enable them to learn new skills that align with their goals.
Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance in the Big 4 or investment banks
- A qualified CPA /CFA / MBA (finance) from a reputed university is considered advantageous.
- Ability to coach, develop, and motivate junior members of the team.
- Client and team focus, with the ability to build rapport, work quickly and establish effective working relationships.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills especially while interacting with a senior audience.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple high-impact projects for Corporate Functions.
