KPMG KSA is currently seeking to hire an experienced  Director Advisory (Privacy) for a permanent opportunity to work within our Cybersecurity Consulting Function.

 

Role summary:

Privacy is an emerging market for KPMG Cyber in Saudi Arabia. The role is intentionally created to enable market acceleration – through raising our brand profile regarding privacy solutions, utilizing KPMGs global privacy network and partnerships and market opportunities.

 

The primary role of the Cyber Solution Leader is to drive increased penetration in the market with our specific privacy solutions, by utilizing the existing country practices and solutions.

The focus of the role is business strategic, business development and sales, next to planning, leading and managing the engagement teams, taking ownership and delivery of high-quality standards.

 

The Director builds and leads a practice area/solution or has particular expertise for which they are known in the marketplace. (S)He demonstrates strong client management skills, overseeing projects and leads business development activities. Develops and adapts business strategy in response to changing client demands and external trends. (S)He may lead team practice decisions including People Management.

 

Job Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting the strategic direction of Privacy in Saudi Arabia. This includes future development of the service and collaborating with country leaders to determine the current and future market needs.
  • Responsible for active participation in developing a global Privacy community, with the objective of ensuring alignment around the strategic direction to ensure that Privacy developments are cascaded into the region and to liaise with the global community and SME network.
  • Required to hierarchically report to the Solution and Capability Cyber Lead for Saudi Arabia and Levant Cluster and accountable to the Regional Privacy Solution.
  • Actively involved and contributing to at least two (2) managed accounts, as managed by Lead Partner feedback as well as achievements of the account goals.
  • Builds and maintains strategic relationship with key C-suite members of existing or new clients.
  • Required to functionally report to the global Privacy leader but be accountable to the Regional Solution.
  • Responsible for reviewing, approving and sponsoring business cases for investment support requiring local funding (where applicable).
  • Expected to participate in periodic global and regional solution calls to continue building the global / regional community and knowledge.
  • Expected to provide oversight on matters relating to local risk management for Privacy.
  • Expected to develop, oversee, and lead multiple Privacy proposals and engagements.
  • Expected to act as a regional spokesperson for materials referencing Privacy, including analyst relations activities, news media, though leadership, website presence etc.
  • Expected to champion the active use of Source to share high quality collateral and insights relevant to Privacy.
  • Creates and identifies Privacy opportunities that add value to the market and business and develops these propositions with the members of the Privacy team.
  • Maintains an awareness of market trends, competitor activity and products/services.
  • Executes projects to a level that meet member firm’s Quality standards within a commercial context.
  • Shares knowledge with other KPMG colleagues/teams and contributes to the development of knowledge resources.
  • Seek direction from senior team members to start establishing networks with clients and across professional bodies and associations.
  • This role may involve frequent traveling as per the project needs.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm or an environment where same skills were developed (big-4 experience is a plus).
  • Proven business acumen, proven sales, familiar with the Saudi market and Privacy regulations, language English and Arabic
  • Experience with Data Governance, working with Data Privacy Officers, Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Modelling, Data Protection--by-Design, GDPR principles.
  • Experience in developing Privacy Frameworks, Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Saudi / SDAIA Data Protection laws.
  • A Leader rather than a manager; experience with building and developing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills that help articulating the business issues and needs, in addition to technical skills including reporting, business writing, benchmarking, structuring… etc.
  • Soft skills including problem solving, decision making, leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferable “Sector” Specific Experience in one of the following sectors: Public Sector, Financial Services, Telecom and IT/Technology, Oil & Gas, Defense, Healthcare, FMCG, Construction, Transport or Education.

 

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Industrial Engineering is preferred) or a Master’s in business administration
  • Any Certifications or advanced courses related to privacy such as CIPP/x or equivalent is a plus.
