KPMG KSA is currently seeking to hire an experienced Accounting and Finance Advisory Manager for a permanent opportunity to work with our Finance and Accounting capability.


Role Summary:


Manages one or more client engagements or components of large-scale engagements of moderate complexity related to the Accounting and Finance area and ensures effective engagement management by achieving the required revenue and profitability targets. Provides technical knowledge related to the accounting and finance, in addition of coaching and training junior team members. Hence, this role has an increased focus on business development and building networks.


Strategic & Managerial Responsibilities:


  • Delivery of accounting advisory services to range of clients, including large listed entities, government entities, private businesses and not-for-profit entities. 
  • Willingness to undertake business development activities and an ability to identify opportunities.
  • Attendance at client meetings as required to discuss technical issues.
  • Delivery of accounting advisory services internally to support engagements delivered by other KPMG divisions - audit, tax, enterprise, and advisory. 
  • Presentation and delivery at AAS Financial Reporting Updates to clients. 
  • Contributing to practice and risk management, including thought leadership and business development activities, and general practice development.
  • Development of specialist technical skills and knowledge in IFRS and IPSAS equivalents of these standards, and relevant legislative requirements in general. 
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the impacts of the new accounting standards on IT processes and architectures.


Job Role & Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of engagements.
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing and collection and variance recognition
  • Work with the team to tackle accounting and other issues.
  • Identify, prepare and participate in proposals for new clients and projects
  • Develop, maintain and leverage internal contacts across KPMG businesses
  • Stay connected to market trends to think through future innovative solutions
  • Be a trusted advisor to public and private clients to assist with accounting, financial reporting and internal control matters
  • Strengthen client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution and a strategic approach to service delivery
  • Supervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training.
  • Provide technical accounting advice, prepare detailed calculations and manage projects related to IFRS and IPSAS
  • Assist clients with the accounting and reporting aspects of transactions


Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum 7 years of private and public accounting or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in managing and supervising teams
  • Strong and up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS accounting standards
  • Good presentation skills encompassing an ability to convey complex concepts accurately and succinctly.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills (an eye for detail and awareness of broader business issues). 
  • A high level of responsiveness to client needs (both internal and external clients). 
  • The vision to participate in strategy setting and marketing of accounting advisory services at a management level.


Education & qualification:


  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification/ ACCA/ CA
