Our Translation service team, which is part of the Advisory Business Support Unit, helps KPMG in Saudi Levant Cluster better meet the client needs through well-translated presentations (proposals, client material, etc.). Reason being KPMG is a global firm, that employs international expertise from across the world; to ensure having successful business partnerships with its clients. Our certified translators are not just linguists, but also well versed with regional background and global viewpoint to make sure that translations are contextually precise.

 

KPMG is currently seeking to hire highly experienced and certified Translators for a permanent opportunity to work with our Advisory Function in Amman Office.

 

Role Summary: -

As a Translator at the Advisory Business Support Unit, you will be required to handle day-to-day translation work for our Advisory clients\ internal consulting teams, from Arabic to English and vice versa. The ideal candidate should be able to establish balance between speed and quality; as the nature of translation requests varies in terms of the turnaround time and the quality expected. The ideal candidate should also be aware of the sensitivity of KPMG’s work, as we deal with high-profile clients, and therefore providing quality translation is a must.

Job Role & Responsibilities: -

 

Quality and understanding of consulting business are key elements to the role profile along with timely delivery. A successful candidate will:

  • Handle day-to-day translation requests (RFPs, proposals, deliverables, etc.).
  • Translate several types of texts from Arabic to English and vice versa in different formats, such as PDF, Word, PPT, and Excel.
  • Proofread and validate texts to accurately reflect language.
  • Use dictionaries and glossaries for reference.
  • Use Translation Memory software\ CAT tools, such as MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, etc.
  • Understand different cultures in translation.
  • Ensure texts are localized as per the client request and in accordance with the target audience.
  • Ensure tasks delivery in high-quality consistently.
  • Assure timely delivery of all request on their due dates.
  • Oversee and mentor junior translators to affirm translation quality meeting standards.
  • Support juniors and provide coaching.
  • Work along with our in-house translation team based in Jordan and KSA Offices.

 

Skills & Experience: -

  • Exposed to multi-sector translation (consulting, accounting, technology, legal, financial, etc.).
  • Skilled in communication, formal writing & editing, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite efficiently (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Able to work under pressure and beat deadlines.
  • Fast learner and quick to adapt to changing work-related circumstances.
  • Big Four company work experience is a plus.

Education & qualification: -

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Translation or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in translation domain.
  • Any certifications or advanced courses related to Translation is a plus.
